ICT Training

Our ICT training caters for all levels and we endevour to meet all of your specific needs. Our tutors can come to your place of work or we can offer training at our offices in Waterbeach, Cambridge. We will show you how to use different programmes including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Publisher, Access Database, E-mail/Outlook. We also offer training in Open source software and can give you guidance and tips on general computer maintenance. Training can be in groups or on a one-to-one basis and we will provide you with plenty of practical exercises for you to practice in your own time.

FREE ICT WORKSHOPS 2012

Cambridge United are offering organisations and community groups based in Cambridgeshire the opportunity to attend a free ICT workshop. Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Wednesday 18th January 2012 (10am – 1pm) - CLOUD COMPUTING - AN INTRODUCTION

In the future all the information and applications we use will be accessed through the Internet on any device, from anywhere, thanks to Cloud Computing.

But what exactly is The Cloud and how can it make us more effective and efficient? This workshop is an introduction to Cloud Computing, looking at some of the applications available and how they can benefit VCO’s.


Wednesday 25th January 2012 (10am – 1pm) - WEBSITES - AN INTRODUCTION

Thinking of creating a website, or looking at revamping an existing one? This workshop is designed to give you the guidance, tips and sign posting necessary on how to set a clear plan for your website and is ideal for beginners. The workshop also explains how to ensure your current or new website has web presence, makes the right impression and portrays the correct image to your clients.

Wednesday 1st February 2012 (10am – 1pm) - SOCIAL MEDIA - AN INTRODUCTION

This introduction to Social Media looks at the rise of WEB2.0/Social Media/New Media technologies in general and offers some ideas on how these tools and applications could be used to benefit VCO’s.
